Clearwater Fishing Updates & Seasonal Insights

Trophy Fish Caught

The current water temperatures and strong moving tides have created excellent real-time conditions across the Pinellas County grass flats, leading to some highly productive recent catches. Anglers fishing with Captain Cameron have been landing serious trophy fish, including oversized redfish pushing the upper slot limits and heavy snook holding tight to the backcountry mangrove roots. Whether you are sight-casting in the shallows for local game fish or targeting the variety of coastal and tropical fish species that push in with the Gulf currents, our expert guidance ensures you are always positioned for success.

Fishing Year-Round in Clearwater, FL

One of the biggest advantages of the Florida Gulf Coast is the opportunity for outstanding fishing year-round. While our peak season stretches from March through June—drawing anglers for the famous tarpon migration—every season brings its own excellent bite. Fall delivers schooling redfish and hungry speckled trout, while winter provides reliable backcountry fishing as snook seek warmer water temperatures. Because we track these seasonal variations daily, you can count on us for a dependable, high-quality outing regardless of the month. Check our availability and book your fishing trip today to secure your preferred date.

Clearwater Bay - Pinellas, FL Inshore Report on 3rd Jun, 2026

The bite has been consistent across the local grass flats this week, with the warming waters bringing out some impressive activity. Anglers focusing on the shallow areas during the early morning tides have found significant success targeting redfish, which are aggressively hitting topwater plugs and soft plastics near the mangrove lines. Snook are also making a strong showing throughout the bay, particularly around points and drop-offs where the current is moving. We have been using live shrimp on circle hooks to entice these feisty predators, resulting in some memorable battles for our guests. As the afternoon approaches, shifting focus to deeper channels has been productive for speckled trout, providing steady action for those looking to keep the rods bent. Overall, conditions remain ideal for a productive day on the water, and we look forward to getting out there again soon to put our clients on the best spots in Clearwater.
